Our successful Cup driver is about to complete an entire year of drab streaks. Kyle Busch’s last Cup victory transpired at the World Wide Technology Raceway the previous year in June. After a glittering career with Joe Gibbs Racing, 2023 was his first stint with Richard Childress Racing. Yet it seemed he got off to a promising start, having won three times. However, his fortune has stopped in its tracks after that.
Even though Busch struggles in NASCAR’s premier series, he excels in other avenues. Strikingly, the Micro Sprint events where Rowdy is carving a name for himself in dirt racing.

Nowadays, our 63-time Cup winner gives out a long sigh when he emerges winless in yet another Cup Series race. However, Kyle Busch is firing his engines to glory in other races. For example, he snagged the trophy in the Texas Craftsman Truck Series race this year. More recently, he tried his hand at the dirt model racing, turning his attempt into gold.
Kyle Busch was booked for the 2024 Micro Sprint Car Series since late last year. This arrangement came soon after Lucas Oil Products inked a deal with Richard Childress Racing and the No. 8 Chevrolet. The lubricant brand was displayed on Busch’s ride for the Sprint races, starting with the Tulsa Shootout on December 26.
Now, Kyle Busch appeared for a Micro Sprint event in Dover and blazed the dirt track with a resounding victory. Busch posted photos of his win and posing with the Micro trophy with his family. He tweeted: “Finally got us one! Felt good to get back in victory lane in the @Lucas_Oil Micro! Hopefully we can get a few more as the year goes on!🤘🏻🔥”.

Well, the dirt track we are discussing now is a Cup track. Bristol Motor Speedway was covered in dirt until two years back, and Kyle Busch aced it there in 2021. While two drivers led most of the lap, they crashed in the end, allowing Busch to storm towards victory. This event snapped a 25-race winless streak for Busch back then, and he could not be happier.

The 60th career win also marked his 18th consecutive season with a win, tying Richard Petty’s record. “We got one. It doesn’t matter how you get them. It’s all about getting them,” Busch told FOX Sports as he was showered with boos. “Man, I feel like Dale Earnhardt Sr. right now. This is awesome. I didn’t even do anything.”
Hopefully, Kyle Busch will be on cloud nine again for his 64th career victory, which may be looming on the horizon.
