In the exhilarating world of NASCAR, many drivers’ kids follow in their father’s footsteps as they look forward to carving their place among the stock car greats. One such youngster is the 11-year-old pint-sized version of the legendary racer Kevin Harvick, Keelan Harvick, who drove a full-body stock car for the first time.
What’s more remarkable about Keelan’s first run are the guiding hands of not one but two NASCAR icons that ensured the aspiring racer’s spin around the track went smoothly. Following the high-octane stint on the track, Keelan takes a moment to cherish the joy as he unravels his gratitude toward his other mentor.

Now that Kevin Harvick has left such a storied legacy behind, his son is picking up the pace to follow in his father’s footsteps, as the onus to continue Kevin’s legacy in the world of NASCAR is a big deal. But Keelan Harvick is not alone in his quest to succeed, as he has the support of two mentors. One is, naturally, Kevin Harvick, but the other mentor is a 2018 NASCAR Hall of Fame Inductee, Ron Hornaday Jr, who’s also renowned for running Team Hornaday Development, a development program specializing in polishing the skills of aspiring racers to ensure their superiority in the future.
With Ron Hornaday, Keelan Harvick is sure to unlock the stock car racing potential that he has inherited from his legendary father. And his smooth ride in the #94 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was nothing short of impeccable, not to forget that the output is coming from the 11-year-old kid, who took the checkered flag home at the Legends Features race on Thanksgiving Day in November 2023. Harvick Jr took to X, thanked his mentor, and wrote, “First time in a full-body stock car! Thanks Mr. @ronhornadayjr and @VETSRacing for letting me take the street stock for a spin! #keeplearnin #keepdiggin #keeppushin”.
