Richard Childress Racing has been pretty busy in the past couple of weeks. While their two drivers, Kyle Busch, and Austin Dillon, are already locked in for 2024, the team has been furiously signing as many sponsors as possible for either of its drivers or both. The latest sponsor to join the party is BetMGM, though the difference is that the company has already sponsored the duo.

In essence, the online betting brand has simply extended its partnership with both RCR drivers. So once again, BetMGM will have its logo seen by millions of Americans, on both the #3 and #8 Chevrolet cars. The new contract extension comes off the back of RCR signing Zone Nicotine Pouches for Kyle Busch.

The two parties have been allied since 2021 and will now be entering its fourth year of marriage. BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said, “Richard Childress Racing is an iconic name in motorsports, and it aligns with BetMGM’s goal to partner with best-in-class organizations. North Carolina is home to some of the most passionate motorsports fans in the world and BetMGM’s extended partnership with RCR will surely hit another gear with the start of legalized sports betting in North Carolina.”

RCR is a team with a lot of history, and Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon are talented drivers. 2023 was a bit of a building year for Busch, as it was his first season with the organisation. He performed admirably last year, with a couple of early wins, but tapered off towards the end. Now, he will be highly motivated to try and gun for a third Cup Series title. At the same time, Austin Dillon will be just as fired up to try and beat his more high-profile teammate.

How is the team transforming itself in 2024?

In preparation for 2024, the team is taking things very seriously. They have made a number of recruitments for the upcoming campaign, especially in the crew member department. One of the biggest signings is Mike Verlander, who is taking on the role of chief operating officer at Richard Childress Racing. He is a familiar face because he used to be part of Kyle Busch Motorsports before the team was sold.
