Can NASCAR's new production director live up to the hype and keep fans on the edge of their seats?

The NASCAR 25 virtual game is coming soon. It was only last year that iRacing acquired the license for the simulation-style NASCAR console game from NASCAR. According to them, with all the resources and technology assets in place, the developers of the game promised to build a great NASCAR game which would be available on various platforms.

There is good news for all the racing fanatics out there as the Production Director, Matt Lewis, took to Instagram to drop some hints about the game. He seemed super positive about what they have created.

The game will be a simulation-style console game. The official details of the game are not out yet but are based on the past games of iRacing and the old NASCAR games like NASCAR 21. The game would most likely have all the NASCAR series for players to choose from. The game with allow racers to have a career mode to experience all the ups and downs involved in actual NASCAR races. Players would get an opportunity to race their favourite racers and have a variety of tracks to choose from. Perhaps iRacing might decide to bring in the old tracks which we no longer see in the NASCAR races, adding a nostalgic feel. Not spilling too many details, the production director of the game seems positive.

In the video, Lewis spoke about how they have managed to achieve what they had set out for. He said, “NASCAR 25 honestly is the game we all always wanted to build. We have talked about alot about other team members and how we have all sort of over lapped and crisscrossed our entire career but the ability to finally sort of just put all the pieces together, take all the core elements of what makes all of our teams great and really deliver the game that we’ve always wanted to make even 20-25 years ago is amazing for me.”

Further in the video, Lewis talked about how it took several years of hard work and dedication to create the game. Reiterating this he said, “It almost feels like a full circle moment, we all started years and years ago, we’ve all been doing this for a really long time, but it’s super special to put this team together and be able to deliver it.” Hopefully, all the years put into creating the game will be loved by fans as it is an important move by NASCAR to expand its connection with the audience.

According to NASCAR’s Managing Director of Esports, Nick Rend, the NASCAR racing community, has the most passionate fans. He further said, “What’s more, there continues to be a tremendous opportunity to connect with millions of potential new fans in the gaming space.” Just as Nick mentioned, gaming and racing fans have been waiting for a long time to experience the NASCAR 25. The production directors’ positive words have piqued their interest even further, as restless fans were quick to reply to him.

The Olympic break would have been easier to pass if the game had been released, wouldn’t it? The most important question is when and where is the game going to be released. After Matt hyped the game so much, a fan was quick to ask, “we know the release date?.” The other important thing is what platforms would be available. NASCAR’s other games are available on Windows, Nintendo Switch, Playstation and Xbox. An eager fan who uses Play station asked, “Will we have NASCAR 25 before GTA 6?”

Fans are demanding for the game to be released ASAP. However, if the official dates aren’t released NASCAR could look to release before the start of the 2025 season, to pique the interest of fans even more before the racing starts. However, the fans can’t wait any longer, one wrote, “NEED IT NOW 😭” On the same lines, a fan who hasn’t played a good racing game in a long time is hopeful for this one. He wrote, “I haven’t been excited for a game like this for a very long time.”
