Niece Motorsports driver, Natalie Decker has been on and off the racing map in 2020. She was slated to race at Las Vegas but was forced to pull out at the last minute. Decker did not receive a medical clearance at Vegas the weekend before last. That extended to the Talledega race weekend as well.

Now, the 23-year old is slowly getting back on her feet and is back on social media. Unfortunately, she isn’t quite ready to get behind the wheel of her #44 truck just yet. Decker revealed that she is still not medically cleared to race, a decision that goes all the way back to Las Vegas.

According to the Wisconsin native, when she flew to Vegas, she felt fine even though she was not at her best. However, she insisted that she was ‘okay’, but that lasted until race day.

What did Natalie Decker say?

Decker said, “I did not feel good at all, I went to the infield care center and they ran my vitals like they normally do, and I had a really high heart rate and blood pressure. They did not want me going out in that race and putting the stress on my body. Maybe having one get higher of too high and having me blackout.”

As per the 23-year old, that was the primary reason why she was not cleared to race at Vegas. In addition to that, the medical staff could not understand why a young and healthy Decker had such high blood pressure. As a result, they wanted to run several tests as a precaution, and that scared her.

At the same time, Decker said that ‘all the scary things have been ruled out’, which is great news for her and the fans.

Natalie Decker confirmed that this fear kept her away from social media. Fortunately, she is back online now, but she is still not medically cleared. Now, all she and the doctors have to do is figure out how to tackle her issues. Once things are under control, only then will she be able to come back and race.

In conclusion, she is thrilled to be back on social media. So she has a chance to interact with her fans once again.
