Amongst the teams that have been linked as the next destination for Kyle Busch in 2023, perhaps Kaulig Racing seems like the one which is most realistic. It’s an ambitious project led by an ambitious owner, and what do they need? An ambitious driver still at the top of his game.

As for how they’re going to go about it, a blueprint of their future plans of sorts, could be announced very soon.

“I think we are really close to being able to announce everything from Cup down to Xfinity. Hopefully, in the near future, maybe before the playoffs we’ll have everything,” Chris Rice, the President of Kaulig Racing, recently said.

Rice admitted that he feels excitement around all kinds of speculation about their future driver lineup. “I know the world out there is making all kinds of ideas and thoughts about what we are doing,” he continued.

“We’re close and I think everybody’s going to love it.”

Kyle Busch hoping to never go through what he’s going through right now

In a recent interview, Kyle Busch candidly opened up on the experience he’s going through currently with regards to his future.

This is something that the two-time Cup champion, in his own words, “would like to not have to go through again.”

Busch then described that considering where he is in his career if he does everything right, he can have a big shot at driving alongside his son, Brexton, in the future.

“I’ve got six, seven, maybe eight more years if I play all of this out perfectly, Brexton and I, we share a truck when he turns 16 years old,” he added. “When he’s 16 and 17, and then it’s his when he’s 18, and I’m done. I’m out. So that’s the perfect play.”
