The stakes are high at NASCAR’s longest track as the Next-Gen car undergoes changes to prevent it from going airborne. With no practice, drivers will face uncertainty heading into the 2024 YellaWood 500 playoff race. - The prize money for the YellaWood 500 is $9,222,964, which will be distributed amongst teams based on a variety of factors such as their performance and charter payouts.
- The payout is almost half a million more than last year, indicating just how much the sport has grown in the period. Meanwhile, the Xfinity Series purse stands at $1,337,574.
- The prize money for Love’s RV Stop 225 at Talladega in the Truck Series is $880,113, a significant increase from last year as well.

With three victories each, Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano will go to Talladega Superspeedway as the favorites to win the race. However, Denny Hamlin will know that this might be the racing veteran’s last opportunity to seize a playoff win this season, as it’s the only oval track on the calendar before the season ends. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has performed well on the track in the past, finishing seventh or higher in his last eight appearances. However, none of the Hendrick Motorsports drivers can be ruled out either, given their performances so far.
