In a sport where every position matters, Freddie Kraft didn’t shy away from applauding the progress made by Brad Keselowski’s team. While the results may not reflect their improvements, Kraft emphasized that the team has been making significant strides, competing with determination and grit.

His comparison between Keselowski’s new partners and the competitive Stewart Haas Racing was striking. The 5-6 place ambitious jump they have made is a testament to Keselowski and his crew’s relentless pursuit of excellence.

“If you try to just look at any team in the sport and try to jump them five positions and see who they’re going to try to jump over. You know, you look right now the guys are running if they’re a 30th place team, the guys are on the 25th are the Stewart Haas cars. Are you expecting Rick Ware to jump over Ryan Preece and Chase Briscoe?”

You know, like that’s the jump you’re looking at making. So they’re getting more competitive, they’re doing the right things.
And to your point, like if they put better drivers in their car, it’s only going to elevate their program because these guys are going to be able to come in and tell them all the stuff that is wrong,”
23XI Racing spotter added.

Kraft stated that by hiring Cole Custer, a driver with a track record of success across multiple series, Rick Ware Racing appears keen on understanding their strengths and weaknesses. The insights from experienced drivers offer valuable data to identify areas for growth. This ensures the team’s overall progress.
