During the Door Bumper Clear podcast spotter, Freddie Kraft mentioned, “My ideal situation at Daytona is Bubba and Truex are side by side off of four and the eleven’s coming with a run, where does the 11 go.”
To which Brett Griffin said, “He [Denny Hamlin] is an idiot if he doesn’t push Bubba. We talked about it last week, who would you rather have in the Chase? Would you race Martin for the championship or Bubba?”
Kraft interjects and asked, “Where would Joe Gibbs expect Denny to go?” Industry insider, Casey Boat answered the question by stating, “I would think he would expect him to go for Bubba either way.”
After which all the other spotters share their disagreement and Freddie Kraft stated, “I don’t think so. I think Joe wants his cars in, I’m sure.”
TJ Majors then interjected and said, “Should call and ask him,” to which everyone laughed, and finally someone asked if anyone had Joe Gibbs’ phone number.
Bubba Wallace signs a multi-year contract extension with the 23XI Racing team
Bubba Wallace is considered one of the most popular drivers currently in NASCAR. However, his season this year was marred by a rocky start.
He had multiple issues with the pit crew early on, which led to a pit crew swap with that of JGR’s Christopher Bell.
Since then, Wallace has been showing improvement more consistently. Moreover, to boost Wallace’s spirits, 23XI Racing recently confirmed that they signed an extension deal with the 28-year-old driver.
Bubba Wallace will remain in the number 23 car of the 23XI Racing team, which is co-founded by, Denny Hamlin and NBA Legend Michael Jordan.
