Could Christian Eckes be the game-changer for Kaulig Racing's Xfinity team? Fans seem to think so!

Kaulig Racing is still putting together its 2025 driver lineup. Kaulig Racing’s current full-time Xfinity Series drivers are Josh Williams, A.J. Allmendinger, and Shane van Gisbergen. While Allmendinger will be moving up to the Cup Series with Kaulig Racing, van Gisbergen will pilot Trackhouse Racing’s third ride, the popular No. 88 in the Cup. This leaves Williams as the only returning full-time driver for the 2025 Xfinity Series season.

However, the question is about the remaining two rides in its Xfinity Series lineup. Well, the #10 has been taken by Daniel Dye, as was recently announced by the team. Although it is uncertain who will pilot Allmendinger’s #16. Kaulig Racing is set to announce the final name on Saturday, August 31st, at 10:00 a.m. ET. However, before that, the team decided to play a guessing game with the fans as they released a small teaser video. Fans think it is Christian Eckes!

Who is the third driver in Kaulig’s Xfinity Series lineup?

There are many potential options for the No. 16 ride. The first possibility is the Daniel Hemric. Hemric was signed by Kaulig at the end of 2023 for their Cup Series ride in the 2024 season. But his performance has been disappointing. In the 25 races so far, he’s been winless and has managed only four 10-top finishes. Hemric has still not signed a contract for the next season. It seems unlikely that he will be retained for the Cup; however, a demotion is a possibility.

Also, a possibility is Wood Brothers’s Harrison Burton, who has recently shocked everyone by winning the recent Daytona race. Although he has a playoff berth, he doesn’t have a ride for the next season. Before his surprising victory, the Wood Brothers parted ways with him. Some recent rumors suggest he is in talks with Kaulig Racing. According to Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, the organization has talked to Burton about rides for the 2025 season.

Lastly, for whom fans have the strongest hunch is Christian Eckes. If Kaulig is looking to strengthen its struggling Xfinity lineup, Eckes seems like the best option. The #19 has had a splendid career in the Truck Series so far. He managed to bag three wins in the regular season and has eleven top-five finishes. In the recent playoff opener, Eckes finished 3rd and has a comfortable cushion above the provisional cutoff line. The 23-year-old has shown great potential, putting him on the radar of teams like Kaulig. It has also been rumored that the youngster is already in talks with the team.

In the teaser video, released by Kaulig, we can see a hand about to sign what looks like a contract. Here, take a look:
