The Next-Gen car has struggled mightily on short tracks, but tire wear will make things interesting. For the upcoming race, NASCAR has introduced two new types of tires. The softer “option” tire, offers superior grip for faster lap times but wears out quicker, while the “prime” tire provides consistent performance but less initial traction. The teams will have to decide when to choose speed over grip. Exciting isn’t it? As the wait nears its end Fox News’s Bob Pokcrass has shared the schedule for the race.
This weekend, there will be no Xfinity race at the venue. Saturday will kick off with the Trucks Series Practice session followed by qualification on Saturday at 2:35 pm ET. Both the sessions will be telecasted on Fox Sports 1. These will be followed by the Cup Series practice session at 4:30 p.m. ET followed by the qualification round at 5:35 p.m. ET. Both the Cup Series sessions will be telecasted on NBC Sports App, and Motor Racing Network. The day will come to an end with a thrilling 250-lap Truck series race which is also scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET. The race will be telecasted on Fox Sports 1 and MRN.

Only time will tell.
