At long last, after two months of no NASCAR action, we are back in business. The first race of the season is at the Los Angeles Coliseum. In the buildup to the race, Fox Sports pundit, Bob Pockrass, gave his predictions for the season. Suffice to say, some of them were pretty bold. One of the bold ones centered around the 23XI Racing duo, Bubba Wallace and Kurt Busch.
According to him, both Kurt Busch and Bubba Wallace will win a few races in 2022. In Busch’s case, Pockrass believes that he is a top-caliber driver and is still winning races to this day. Even at the age of 43, the veteran boasts of 33 career wins and he is the 2004 Cup champion. On the other side of the garage, Wallace got his hands on his first piece of silverware last year. Pockrass believes that the African-American driver can win at Daytona, Atlanta, or at Talladega.

Is Bubba Wallace capable of winning or was the Talladega win a fluke?
The pundit believes that Wallace is quite adept at superspeedways and this could lead to another trophy. He is also confident that it will not come down to a rain-affected final lap. Instead, the African-American driver will win the race the right way and truly cement himself as a rising star.

Of course, before all of that, everyone has to tackle the first race of the season at the LA Coliseum. At that race, Bubba Wallace qualified for the second heat race and will start fifth. Meanwhile, Kurt Busch starts 8th in Heat number 4, so he has his work cut out for him. This is because only the Top 4 in each race advance to the main event. Otherwise, the second option is to make it through one of the two Last Chance Qualifying races in the Top 3.
