Kyle Busch won his 65th Truck Series race at the Fr8 208 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway edging out #3 Ty Majeski and #19 Corey Heim for P1. After leading in the initial stage for a good period, the new Spire Motorsports driver of the #7 Chevrolet Silverado ended up clinching stage 2. Taylor Gray of Tricon Garage and Daytona season-opener winner Nick Sanchez filled out fourth and fifth positions respectively to round off the Top-5.
KFB put himself in the best position at the final phases of Stage 2, making the move on Grant Enfinger who seemed to face mechanical issues with his truck with just a handful of laps to go. This marks the first time Busch has competed in The Truck Series in a vehicle that has not been supported by the RCR talisman’s, former Truck Series team, Kyle Busch Motorsports, which was sold to Spire last year.

A Landmark Victory for Kyle Busch
The 20-year NASCAR veteran ran most of the race as one of the frontrunners alongside pole-winner Daniel Dye and his McAnally-Hilgemann teammate, Christian Eckes. This win marks Busch’s ninth win at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in all three NASCAR national series and seventh in the Craftsman Truck Series. The Fr8 208 win on the reconfigured superspeedway marks his first, after its remodeling in 2022. Spire teammates, Rajah Caruth and Chase Purdy finished eighth and fifteenth respectively, ensuring that all three of Spire’s Chevrolet trucks finish in the top 15. Nevertheless, the driver of the #1 truck, Dye went on to finish P9 behind Caruth after starting from the front of the pack.
Moreover. Busch was also involved in the first caution of the race causing a restart on lap 16 of Stage 1 which caused the driver of the #22 Ford F-150, Keith Mcgee to spin out into the infield. Ironically, his teammate Caruth, driver of the #71 Silverado for Spire Motorsports, displayed impressive skills and maneuvering, considering his hand in the final lap fiasco at last week’s Fresh from Florid 250 season-opener at Daytona.
