As NASCAR fans gear up for the 2024 Cup Series, new sponsorship news keeps coming in. While Consumer Cellular joined Brad Keselowski as his new primary sponsor, Zane Smith gets the appropriate financial support for his first full-time season. Focused Health joins Spire Motorsports and Smith as the #71 driver’s primary sponsor. With both new and old sponsors combined, all three manufacturers in the sport now look well geared up.

NASCAR continues to attract big sponsors for the 2024 season

With many entities interested in getting associated with NASCAR, the manufacturers are in for a delight. However, showing interest and getting it converted into a deal are two different things. Matt DiBenedetto faced the other side of the deal, which hampered his 2024 Truck Series ambitions.

However, the Cup Series manufacturers have enjoyed the better side of things so far. Having said that, it is tricky to determine which manufacturer has a stronger sponsorship portfolio than the other. Kyle Busch boosted the Chevrolet sponsor lineup with new additions in the form of Zone Premium Nicotine Pouches, Rebel Bourbon, and Global Industrial.

It is worth noting that Chevy already has a strong portfolio with Hooters, Valvoline, Axalta, Hendrickcars.com, and other strong entities coming from the Hendrick Motorsports teams. Not only that, Ross Chastain bolstered the Chevrolet collection by adding Busch Beer to the list.

With Zane Smith’s Focused Health, Carson Hocevar’s Zeigler Auto Group, and Daniel Suarez’s Freeway Insurance, it only makes the Chevrolet camp stronger. Not only that, but it also adds more versatility to their portfolio. On the other hand, the Toyota camp will be keen on adding more new sponsors.

Denny Hamlin continues to keep FedEx and Interstate Batteries in his arsenal. Even Martin Truex Jr’s Bass Pro Shops, Christopher Bell’s Rheem, and Ty Gibbs’ Monster Energy help Toyota’s case. Along with DoorDash and McDonald’s, Bubba Wallace brings a diversified list of sponsors with him.

While Tyler Reddick, Erik Jones, and John Hunter Nemechek have their own lists of financial backing, the Toyota portfolio looks competent enough. In fact, Nemechek recently announced the return of Pye-Barker Fire & Safety and ROMCO Equipment to the Cup Series, adding more value to his name. With even Toyota looking sorted with their sponsors, it is worth checking how Ford is lined up for the 2024 season.

It is no secret how the Ford camp has some drivers coming, especially with the changes taking place at Stewart-Haas Racing. While 2023 Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney has a plethora of sponsors to his name, there are some new names associated with other drivers.

Michael McDowell has a new partner for the Busch Light Clash at the L.A. Coliseum. With the cruise line associated with McDowell, it certainly adds a new flavor to NASCAR’s list of sponsors. The Fifth Third Bank is also entering the list with their five-race sponsorship of Chris Buescher, Ford’s list only gets more interesting.

While SUNNYD will continue to be the primary sponsor for Stewart-Haas Racing and now new driver Josh Berry, big names like Castrol and Shell Pennzoil are retained from Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano’s end, respectively. In fact, the duo has brought in new names like Hunt Brothers Pizza and Consumer Cellar to Ford’s 2024 sponsor list.

All in all, even Ford’s portfolio looks strong enough. However, with the number of teams associated with Chevrolet, they seem to have an upper hand. While that does not discard the quality or strength of the sponsors Toyota or Ford have, it gives them a slight advantage. Regardless, it will be the on-track performance that will matter the most in the end.
