The organization has apparently raised more than a million dollars. This is to help fund over 60,000 Christmas toys to be sent to children in need. This event reportedly first began around the year of 1989 and has been active ever since. The charity’s primary goal is to work towards stopping child abuse.

For the upcoming event, the organizers have also highlighted the importance of wearing pinwheels. The symbol is apparently associated with a national symbol for child abuse prevention. Don Miller stated, “When you see one of these on the roadside or a garden, you got to remember each one of these pinwheels represents a child who has lost their life. This is something that has got to stop.”

We don’t want to see any pinwheels,” Dodson explained. “It’s why we do this.”
