Coke Zero Sugar 400 at the Daytona International Speedway was an iconic grand finale to the eventful 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season. We saw another different winner take the final stand. Of course, it was Austin Dillon who took the win at the Superspeedway. But that victory didn’t come without the help of his teammate, Tyler Reddick.
And NASCAR Spotter, Brett Griffin applauds Reddick for his help, as he reveals a new development with Kyle Busch.

Griffin came on the latest episode of Door, Bumper, Clear! Where he said, “Reddick stayed very loyal to him [Austin Dillon]. Hopefully, that helps him and Richard become a little more kosher. He does not win that race without Tyler Reddick,”
However, the spotter revealed some big news related to Kyle Busch and his sponsorship saga.
Richard Childress reportedly pursuing Kyle Busch
Brett then proceeded to reveal a big rumor related to Kyle Busch.

He said, “There’s a lot of rumors that Richard Childress is aggressively pursuing Kyle Busch. Obviously, you would think that for the #8 car for next year. So, it’ll be curious to see if things get better between Richard and Tyler.”
“I don’t think Tyler has got a problem. I’d be curious to see what happens.”
The rumor could very well be true since Richard Childress Racing is one of the four teams Busch has talked to.
Moreover, with Reddick leaving the team to join 23XI Racing, it already seems like RCR has become a good landing spot for the two-time cup champ. Richard Childress has already addressed these rumors, but in a very non-descriptive way.

RCR Boss addresses the rumors
With all the sponsorship issues, Kyle Busch’s career has a question mark around it. But there was one small hope that came to him, thanks to a team supported by Joe Gibbs Racing.
Joe Gibbs and 23XI Racing have an alliance. And earlier this season, Reddick announced his move to the Denny Hamlin-Michael Jordan racing venture. This has left the #8 team without a driver after 2023. Naturally, that became the most obvious landing point for Busch, if JGR cannot find a sponsor.
However, despite the rumors of Childress pursuing him aggressively, he addressed the rumors in a pretty neutral way.

The RCR boss said, “Not really. Kyle (Busch) is a great race driver. He and I have talked. We put all our differences behind us a while back, and he is a great race driver. He will land him a good ride somewhere for sure.”
