Currently, Kyle Busch is acting as the lynchpin for the 2023 NASCAR driver market. With the departure of M&Ms from NASCAR at the end of the season, people are wondering where he will go. With time passing by, it is getting clearer that Joe Gibbs Racing is no longer an option. This is in spite of the Toyota insisting that they want to keep him on. However, strong rumors are emerging that Richard Childress Racing is a strong contender. In light of this, spotter Brett Griffin believes that Toyota could have fought harder.

He said, “Toyota could have afforded to keep Kyle Busch. If you’re a race fan and you’re mad that Kyle Busch, your favorite driver. You’re an M&Ms, Skittles, Starburst-loving human. If you’re mad he’s leaving Joe Gibbs Racing, it’s Toyota’s fault. Toyota can afford to put Busch wherever they want to put him. Obviously, its an allocation of $12+ million dollars, but guess who can afford that, Toyota can afford it. So if you’re mad that Kyle Busch is leaving Joe Gibbs Racing, you shouldn’t be”

If Kyle Busch joins RCR will Tyler Reddick be dropped?

Apparently, Reddick has insisted that even if Busch joins RCR, his place is not under threat. Conventional wisdom would suggest that Richard Childress Racing may elect to field three cars for the 2023 season. Later on, when Reddick makes his eventual move to 23XI Racing, RCR will most likely switch back to two cars.

For Richard Childress Racing, it will be a great piece of business, as Busch is a proven champion. Together, Busch, Austin Dillon and Tyler Reddick can definitely wreck havoc, as they are a deadly combination of drivers. Of course, nothing is guaranteed until the 2-time Cup Series champion officially makes the announcement and puts this whole saga to rest at last.
