More races for fans, and Dave Moody is seemingly in a good mood
Since its inception in 1979, the American-Canadian Tour has gradually become one of the North American continent’s most historic asphalt Late-Model tourneys. Following the recent deal, Racing America will broadcast most of the races on its platform and high-profile events like the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250 and the CAN-AM 200 at Autodrome Montmagny.
While NASCAR hasn’t aligned itself towards late-model racing, its drivers have often resorted to the circuit for some extra-curricular action. The 2023 off-season was filled with NASCAR drivers gearing up for 2024 at late-model events like the prestigious Snowball Derby. According to Dave Moody, the deal is a good sign and could mean good things for the late-model circuit in the future. Moody wrote, “Great news!” on Twitter as Racing America announced its partnership with ACT.

However, the American-Canadian Tour isn’t the only competition that is part of the multi-year deal. ACT Tour Managing Partner Cris Michaud revealed the plans that present an exciting future for late-model fans.

Announcing a thrilling alliance, Cris Michaud said, “Our broadcasts on Racing America will present ACT in a way that can only be matched by being at the track in person. We’re also excited to bring the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series Late Model races from White Mountain to our fans watching on Racing America in 2024.”
Michaud is preparing for the series to become an immersive experience for any fan watching the broadcast. Racing America has a knack for deep insights into races, which could be a game-changing factor in this deal. Racing America president Colin Smith reciprocated the excitement as well. He stated, “Racing America is proud and excited to continue our partnership with the American-Canadian Tour. We look forward to working with Cris and the ACT team over the coming years to showcase these races.”
The popularity of the American-Canadian Tour has never been in question. The tourney experienced the highest average car count in the pavement Late Model Series sector and led the tables for North American races in 2023. The season had an exciting finish to it as well. 2023 champion DJ Shaw edged rival Gabe Brown in a run that produced historic numbers.
