Does Pocono Raceway offer the best race-day atmosphere in NASCAR? Agree or disagree?

After the chaotic Cup race at the Chicago Street Course, NASCAR heads back to more familiar oval territory. In the coming weekend, the drivers head to the Pocono Raceway. Also known as the Tricky Triangle, the 2.5-mile track is an iconic venue, on the NASCAR Cup Series calendar.

At Chicago, Alex Bowman finally broke a dry spell that lasted 80 races. Now, the momentum will be with the Hendrick Motorsports driver, but going back-to-back won’t be easy. Especially, considering that this is a track where Denny Hamlin thrives. The Joe Gibbs Racing veteran has stormed to victory, an astounding five times in his career.

In fact, he is the defending race winner at the triangle-shaped race track. Given his and Joe Gibbs Racing’s track record at the track, they will surely be the favorites. The question is, if you are a massive Denny Hamlin fan and want to see him take a potential sixth win live, how will you go about it?

Where can fans stay during the NASCAR race weekend?

If you are not a Pennsylvania local, there will be plenty of hotels in the area for fans to stay in. The Pocono Raceway has partnered with several hotels, inns, and resorts. As per the Pocono Raceway website, there are two main resorts that they have allied with, namely The Village at Pocono, and Camelback Resort.

The Village boasts private villas, a theatre room, several sports courts, and a sauna. The resort also has a billiards room, a heated pool, a fitness center, and more amenities. The best part is that this resort is a mile away from the Pocono Raceway. Admittedly, the Camelback resort is a little further away, with it being 15.5 miles away from the Pocono Raceway. This resort also has some incredible facilities, like suites and condos, two waterparks, a skiing experience, and more.

Of course, no tourist can enjoy their little trip without hitting up a few restaurants. The speedway itself offers a variety of food options for fans to munch on during the race. Those include hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, BBQ, pizza, London broil, and sausage sandwiches, among others.

The vendors also offered dessert options if the Pocono Raceway was not spoiling everyone enough. To be precise, fans have a choice between ice cream, cotton candy, funnel cakes, and roasted almonds. However, if people have a more refined palate, here are some great restaurants in the area.

Among the options are, the Morning Toast, Pocono Organics Cafe, Terra-Cottage Cafe, and Jubilee Restaurant. If those are not enough, Woody’s Country House, Murphy’s Loft, Piggy’s Restaurant, and many more. With a practical smorgasbord on display, visiting fans should be more than prepared for the race weekend.
