If anyone ever doubts the importance of sponsorships in NASCAR, just look at Kyle Busch in 2022. The two-time Cup champion, easily one of the greatest drivers of all time, still very much in his prime, went through a total nightmare as soon as his primary sponsor, M&M’s announced their departure.

Fast forward to the present: Busch has now left Joe Gibbs Racing, headed toward Richard Childress Racing.

But still, the question remains – Who is going to be Rowdy’s sponsor?

Well, it could be Cheddar’s after all, the longtime sponsor of Tyler Reddick, the driver who Busch is replacing in the #8 Chevy of RCR. Reddick is moving to Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing in the #45 Toyota next season.

But clearly, his sponsor won’t be following him as they penned down a heartfelt note, a note which pushed a bunch of Kyle Busch fans to speculate if Cheddar’s is the answer to his sponsor blank.

Heartbroken Kyle Busch looking forward to new adventures at RCR

Speaking at the end of his Joe Gibbs Racing tenure post-race in Phoenix, Kyle Busch, in a very rare form of honest display of emotions, described he couldn’t even look at his #18 Toyota M&M’s Camry for the last time.

“I couldn’t even look at my car to begin with because it was the last time I’m going to see it,” Busch said. “It’s…it’s hard, man. It’s not easy. Just wish it wasn’t what it was or what it is, but I’m going to miss a lot of our fun folks that we got to spend a lot of time with over the years.”

“Just look forward to new adventures.”

In the end, Busch hoped that things “turn around” and “get easier” going forward after enduring a pretty rough season, both on track and off track for him, his team, and his family.
