Earlier, news broke that former NASCAR driver Jamie McMurray will be in the Fox Sports broadcast booth. Admittedly, this has many people excited, as he is a fan favorite. The 45-year-old last raced in 2021 at the Daytona 500, finishing in a fine 8th place. Now, he is all set to play the role of a NASCAR pundit and analyst.

However, as thrilled as the fans were to see him in the booth, some were not too happy about Clint Bowyer’s stint. So they were hoping that McMurray would replace him. Truthfully speaking, no one had anything against Bowyer, but they preferred McMurray’s style of commentary.

It is also worth mentioning that some fans also wanted Larry McReynolds in the booth. Preferably if he was commentating with McMurray and regular commentator Mike Joy. As per some observations, the former Chip Ganassi Racing driver tended to be very analytical in his approach. Unfortunately, whenever he was in the booth with Bowyer, they sometimes talked over each other.

If what the fans say is true, then we will be in for a great race coverage. Without a doubt, the race will be exciting, as drivers battle it out to fill the Playoff seats. When that happens, McMurray and the rest of the commentary team will be right there to bring the action to the fans.

Even when Danica Patrick sat in the booth for a couple of races, many fans liked her. Unfortunately, she then ruined it when she kept making comparisons to IndyCar. Hopefully, Jamie McMurray will be his usual analytical self, and his commentary will make fans happy.
