At the Bristol Motor Speedway, there was a delight for race winner Kyle Busch. However, it also meant heartbreak for poor Tyler Reddick. He looked like he was about to win his first career race for Richard Childress Racing in the Cup Series. Enter a wild lunge from Chase Briscoe, hunting for his second career win. Unfortunately, the two of the tangled and spun, and third-placed Busch was not about to decline an open invitation. After the race, many consoled the distraught Reddick, including 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace.

Many acknowledge that Reddick is a hugely talented driver, and a win will come eventually. It’s just that, this time, it was so close yet so far for the #8 driver. Luckily for him, the 2022 NASCAR Cup season is still long, so he has plenty of time to get the monkey off his back.

Needless to say, the fans’ reaction to the photo, was mixed. Some sympathized with Reddick and praised Wallace’s sportsmanship. However, others began to troll the 23XI Racing driver for his ‘unofficial’ win last year at Talladega.

What did the fans say about the Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace photo?

Admittedly, the general consensus was that the #8 driver was unlucky to not win the race. He was just one corner away from taking a shock victory, but Briscoe’s late lunge had other ideas. However, the Twitter populace were not as kind to Bubba Wallace, and the trolls came out in full force.

Many of the 23XI Racing driver’s haters still believe that he did not deserve his Talladega win. There is a slight element of truth to that accusation because he was leading when the race was stopped. After a lengthy wait, the officials declared the results, and he became the winner. Hopefully, the #23 driver gets a chance to truly silence his critics with a ‘legitimate’ win.
