Jeb said, “I was just thinking about my team, my guys. We don’t need to be tearing up race cars. Once I knew I was okay that’s what I was thinking about. Looking back down on it I should have just turned left and went down pit road. I wasn’t thinking about pit road and then when I got to that situation I saw the barriers and I was going so fast I didn’t think I was gonna be able to go through there.”

Adding, “The first impact was pretty hard and then sliding obviously. Thank goodness nobody came in and slammed into me after that. Because when you are upside down like that you’re kinda out of your seat insert a little bit because you’re flipped upside down. So you’re kinda hanging on the belt at that point so you can move around a lot when you are upside down.”
