Not only is Dale Earnhardt Jr one of the most brilliant and insightful minds when it comes to racing, but he’s also quite an entrepreneur, a businessman for the lack of a better word. After all, the NASCAR Hall of Famer has also built an empire that has taken him to the top of the list of the richest NASCAR drivers.

Yet recently, Dale Jr missed out on a seemingly obvious opportunity for one of his brands.

But he wouldn’t or nobody would’ve even noticed that if not for 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace’s tweet.

The thing is, RFK driver Chris Buescher posted a picture of his car in which he highlighted the mud flaps at the back ahead of the dirt race at Bristol. This led to journalist Bob Pockrass replying with, “The flaps will be required at the rear of the car at all times for the dirt race,” which then led to Wallace cheekily replying with a picture of the ‘filter’.

But what the Talladega winner didn’t know is that his discovery will lead to NASCAR fans pointing out something pretty obvious to the JR Motorsports owner – an opportunity to promote his air filter brand, FilterTime.

Dale Earnhardt Jr’s co-host pulls his leg because of excessive FilterTime promotion

In a blooper of the ‘Dale Jr Download’, Dale Earnhardt Jr was getting “easily distracted” by the hat of co-host Mike Davis, something that was getting in the “periphery of his vision.”

After a couple of failed takes, the other members of the show begin to poke Earnhardt Jr, to which he quickly says, “Stop doing that!”

“I’m not doing anything,” Davis says as he makes a case for himself. “It’s so distracting,” a distracted Dale Jr. says.

Then the conversation turns to a fact that many viewers of the show might have noticed, but if they hadn’t, they will now. Mike Davis sarcastically asks, “Who is wearing the same brand in every show this year, shirt and hat?”

“Mr. Filtertime!”
