The NASCAR Cup Series 2024 is fast approaching, and with the new season, there are new hopes, aspirations, and boundaries to leap. This sentence would perfectly fit in for the 23X1’s No. 23 Bubba Wallace. The Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan-owned team did have a successful year as both of their drivers made it into the playoffs. The 30-year-old stood at No. 10 in the overall rankings, but this was not enough to be content with, according to Wallace.

Bubba Wallace’s disappointment is understandable, but there’s one thing that will cheer him up. NASCAR fans have been closer and more connected to the sport than ever before. A post on X shared a poll titled “NASCAR Twitter’s Favorite Driver By State,” and it was Bubba Wallace who clinched the first spot, thus suggesting he was loved by fans across different states in America.

It looks like an X user with the rather interesting name ‘dabfordale’ was on a mission to find the most favored Cup Series driver across different states. In a normal poll thrown by a media publication, the podium-finished drivers would take the cake, but not here, as the user shared a link for the survey where the fans could add their own opinions.

While it was expected that someone like Chase Elliot or Kyle Busch would be the common sentiment of NASCAR fans across different states, that was not the case. It was 23X1’s Bubba Wallace who came out on top, with the likes of Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney filling up the podium in second and third place, respectively.

Another interesting aspect of this survey was the creative image. The initiator in this case, ‘dabfordale’, shared the map of the United States titled ‘NASCAR TWITTER’S FAVORITE DRIVER BY STATE 2023‘.

This showed which states chose their favorite driver, and Wallace was a popular choice. It was California, Washington, Utah, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, and Maine that picked Bubba Wallace as their pick for favorite driver in 2023 by state.

As soon as the results were out, there were a bunch of users who were left confused. Some complained about the lack of votes, while others argued and questioned the favoritism for Bubba Wallace in a particular state. Let us have a look at the best bunch of comments.

A user was left puzzled when West Virginia and Virginia were considered one state in the poll. The user wrote, “Is West Virginia and Virginia being considered one state? 💀 or did they have the same results”.

Another user saw the funny side to this survey and stated that this survey could’ve been better done: “This list is so wrong😂😂😂 you ask one person from each state?

Bubba Wallace’s fandom in the Midwest was questioned by a fan who suggested that no other racer other than Kyle Larson would have been the apt choice. “Midwest would not have Bubba at all. 💀, at all the tracks i go kyle larson is most favorite since he also races sprint cars up here, no other nascar driver does”.
