The NASCAR Community is buzzing with recent hints given by the 7-time Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson for a possible return to NASCAR in 2023.

The former Hendrick Motorsports legend might be considering NASCAR as an option in his 2023 racing schedule. Although the full-time NTT IndyCar Series driver has kept the option open-ended, the #48 driver is yet to confirm his future plans, which can only happen after his release from the IndyCar’s schedule for next season.

Nevertheless, a fellow Cup Series driver of Stewart-Haas Racing, Kevin Harvick wants the #48 driver to compete in the 2023 Daytona 500. The #4 driver of SHR took to Twitter to promote the former NASCAR Cup Series driver.

In that tweet, Harvick also mentioned the owner of Trackhouse Racing, Justin Marks, and Project91 – a potential program of Trackhouse Racing with the seven-time Cup Series Champion.

Naturally, NASCAR fans were losing their minds over this recommendation by #4 driver, Harvick. Many fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts about the same. This will definitely be a treat for the Jimmie Johnson fans to watch him race again in the Next Gen car of NASCAR for the upcoming season.

With the tease by JJ a.k.a Jimmie Johnson, a lot of fans went gaga over the fact that there might be a slight chance of a 7-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion’s shocking return in NASCAR next season.

Although, #48 driver of Chip Ganassi Racing went straight to IndyCar after his retirement from NASCAR in 2020, it feels that there are definitely a couple of years left of him.

One of the fans thanked the #4 driver of SHR for urging Johnson to compete next season.

Some fans were even curious about SHR bringing in the NASCAR legend for their team.
