Asking the Stewart-Haas champion to ‘have a cold one’ on their behalf, the governing body congratulated the driver on his birthday. And as soon as the post went up, the comment section flooded with wishes for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Regular season champion.

On Harvick’s 47th birthday, the $180 million worth team offered a 47% discount on any single Kevin Harvick item. Valid only on the driver’s birthday, the deal was applicable till 08/12/2022, 11:59 pm.
Kevin Harvick on Retiring from full-time racing
With the kind of racing displayed by Kevin Harvick, it’s safe to say that the Stewart-Haas driver has aged well. However, the burning question about his retirement from full-time racing seems to be doing rounds lately. But currently, Harvick believes that the 2023 Daytona 500 will be the deciding factor for his retirement decision. But why?

Because he feels that his performance in the race will help him decide the best direction going further. When asked about his full-time racing prospects, Kevin Harvick told ESPN, “I don’t really have a clear answer on that right now. I think as we get to Daytona, I know 100% that we will have a direction.”
Furthermore, he continued, “Because I’m not going to start the season without knowing that direction. Just because of the fact that there are just a lot of layers to unfold and really go through and evaluate. And so, we’ll see. I think it could go either way at this particular point.”

Harvick’s contract with Stewart-Haas Racing expires at the end of the 2023 season. However, Gene Haas revealed in October this year that Harvick does not plan on extending his contract as of now. Although the team wants him to continue with them, it’s Harvick and probably the Daytona 500 race that will determine his future in full-time racing.
