The reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano recently paid a visit to the Roush Yates engine shop. Obviously, he wanted to thank everyone for their efforts in helping him secure his second Cup Series title. However, when he shared a video of the event on social media, fans and followers could hardly believe their eyes.

This was largely because Logano was sporting a thick head of hair. Considering that he has a condition called “alopecia,” which often results in hair loss, this came as a complete surprise. Joey Logano confirmed in a tweet that he thanked everyone, spoke to them at length, and took pictures with everyone individually.

How did NASCAR fans react to the “new look” Joey Logano?

Admittedly, a fair number of people were puzzled at seeing the thick mop of hair on his head. Some fans acknowledged that while it looked good on him, it did not scream “Joey Logano,” and he was almost unrecognizable. Others quipped that the new hairdo must have come with the championship.

Some people could not resist taking a cheeky dig at Joe Gibbs Racing—Logano’s team before he was let go in 2012. As many would recall, his stint at Gibbs was a little bit lackluster, and he did not last long in the organization. However, joining hands with Team Penske has changed his fortunes for the better. Safe to say, two Cup Series championships and multiple race wins are definitive proof that he has come into his own.
