NASCAR fans are some of the most passionate, most supportive, and loyal fans there are in any sport across the country. However, the same characteristics can also turn quite ugly under different circumstances.
Such circumstances, or rather, an example of such a shift from die-hard support to staunch criticism, were recently on display when NASCAR revealed the race format of the All-Star race.
Journalist Bob Pockrass tweeted out the format, which, let’s just say, was greeted with not a lot of warmth and with a lot of animosities.

As an Australian and therefore ignorant, what exactly is the point of the All-Star race?
If it doesn't count for anything and it's not a crown jewel event, then all it does is pointlessly tear up machinery.

Can we just kill off the All Star race already? This shit gets more and more gimmicky every year

I had zero interest in the format the moment I knew the All-Star Race was at Texas. It's a trash race being held at a landfill of a racetrack. Just take the week off instead.

Just stop trying to make it happen. The All-Star race hasn't been relevant since The Winston days.

The forced caution in the last segment is so stupid

NASCAR orders Denny Hamlin to undergo sensitivity training
Denny Hamlin recently became the second Joe Gibbs Racing driver in less than a year to undergo sensitivity training required by NASCAR.
Last year, it was Kyle Busch who fell under fire for his use of the word, r******d, and recently it was his teammate who found himself under the radar after he used a clip from the popular TV Show, Family Guy to make a point about Kyle Larson.

Hamlin had posted a meme clip from the show and connected it to Larson’s late-race move that led to the wrecks of 23XI Racing duo Kurt Busch and Bubba Wallace.
Naturally, the 23XI Racing co-owner was frustrated with what happened, so he posted the clip. Hamlin deleted the clip soon after it gathered flak, and he even posted an apology for the same.

“I took down a post I made earlier today after reading some of the comments. It was a poor choice of memes and I saw how it was offensive. It came across totally wrong. I apologize,” he tweeted.
NASCAR soon sanctioned the driver, something that also didn’t sit well with the fans either. But that’s quite expected, what wasn’t expected was the reaction to the All-Star race format.

Anyway, let’s see if NASCAR tries to improve or reconsider things that fans want reconsidered or thought over.
