In a hilarious turn of events, Chris Buescher decided to change his first name in case he reaches 3000 likes on Twitter.
All of this was triggered after Dale Earnhardt Jr. referred to him by his full name multiple times during the last half of the Richmond race broadcast.

Buescher’s fans crossed the 3k likes mark pretty quick, prompting him to say, “Geez. Guess I should’ve went for 10K y’all are quick. Messaging with our designer now…“
Buescher’s full name is Christopher William Buescher and he will now be using his complete first name on his car for the upcoming race at Watkins Glen.
Buescher’s Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing confirmed that their designers were going to run the “Christopher” graphic on the left roof rail of the car. His initial post tagged Dale Earnhardt Jr after the latter called him “Christopher” quite a few times during the race.
Now for the next race’s broadcast, Earnhardt Jr. would be happy to see the name Christopher mentioned over Chris Buescher’s car.
NASCAR Fans react to Chris Buescher changing his name to Christopher Buescher
Fans were very quick to react and bring up the likes count past the 15k mark within a short period of time. Fans also asked Earnhardt Jr to help change the name of other drivers as well. For example, William Byron to Bill Byron for some reason.
People told Buescher that he should have set his likes tally to a much higher number than what he originally mentioned since people would be quick to react to it. The RFK Racing driver promptly agreed, but also kept his initial promise and decided to go ahead with the name change.

One fan asked if he’d put up JR next to his name for 30k likes, but Buescher said that it won’t make much sense.
My dad’s name is Jim so I’m not sure that would make much sense

What do you think about this trend of making Dale Jr say alternate names of drivers so that fans can urge them to change their names for a few races? Well, we sure are not complaining.
