In August 2022, NASCAR driver Noah Gragson announced that he would be leaving JR Motorsports (JRM) to drive for Petty GMS Motorsports in the 2023 Cup Series. Replacing the #42 driver Ty Dillon, the 24-year-old driver will race beside Petty GMS teammate Erik Jones.

And following that, Petty GMS Motorsports‘ 25-year-old driver, Brandon Jones made a similar announcement. On September 14, 2022, Jones said that he would be replacing Gragson at JR Motorsports. Jones, who would be driving the #9 for JRM will join the team in the 2023 Xfinity Series.

And soon after Jones’ announcement, Dale Earnhardt Jr, the co-owner of JR Motorsports shared a tweet. The Twitter post was an image of Petty Motorsports #43 car without any other context to it.

However, as soon as the image was posted, NASCAR fans began teasing Dale Earnhardt Jr with their new theory of JRM taking over Petty Motorsports. Fans expressed their thoughts about how Earnhardt Jr’s JRM would be unbeatable after the takeover.

Apart from the theories, a NASCAR fan couldn’t stop himself from asking Earnhardt Jr about his time at Petty Motorsports. And to this, Earnhardt Jr posted a savage reply.

Even with his no-context tweet, Dale Earnhardt Jr managed to win Twitter. Fans could not get enough of their favorite NASCAR driver and team owner’s humor.
