For the past year or so, things have not been looking up for Toyota Racing in NASCAR. So they are trying to get their affairs back in order, with some much-needed changes. This has given rise to several rumours about potential tie-ups with some NASCAR teams. One such rumour was the possibility of Trackhouse Racing joining hands with Toyota. This was amid Toyota Racing Development president David Wilson’s future plans for his company. However, Trackhouse Racing founder Justin Marks firmly shut down those rumours.
Marks told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, “For Trackhouse, we’re not interested. Our relationship with Chevrolet is so important to us. We’re key partners of Chevrolet, we’ve tethered ourselves to the trajectory, commitment and passion that they’ve got for this sport. Obviously we’ve made a huge investment with their tech innovation centre in Concord, North Carolina, supporting their key partner teams. We’re one of three teams that are the key partners, right alongside RCR and Hendrick. Which is an incredibly valuable relationship for us.”

What else did he say about the Trackhouse Racing NASCAR team?
Marks insisted that his team is committed to Chevrolet, so there is no chance of a switch. According to him, Chevy is a big name in the American automobile industry. Additionally, the brand has a rich and deep history with motorsport, so Marks was confident that his chips would remain in the Chevrolet corner.

I swear sometimes people make up stupid rumors just to ask really stupid questions like this.
Of course even if they would switch to Toyota, he's not going to say anything other than this. Chevy isn't going to help the team as much if they're going to leave.
Jesus fuck. https://t.co/iy8JbCQgDx

He continued, “When I look at a company like Chevrolet, this is a mainstay in American automotive culture. It’s a company that has never wavered in their commitment to motorsports over decades. They’re not going to, they value the motorsports performance brand of their company. Their motorsports involvement is so high in the DNA. I just had a brunch with the Board of Directors, a week ago, just seeing in their eyes, how impressed their were with the facility that GM built. How RCR, Hendrick and Trackhouse have done on the race track. You can just see how important racing is, to them.”

Of course, a few fans reacted to Mark’s statement and praised him for it. A fair number of fans were not overly fond of Toyota, especially after the way they handled their drivers. The biggest example is the departure of Kyle Busch, as well as a few other drivers in the Xfinity Series.
