Should Chase Elliott take a page from Tony Stewart's book and dive into the NFL world?

Who says athletes can be only into one sport? While most athletes practice just one, that does not stop them from taking interest in other events. From NBA to golf and even college football, NASCAR drivers like to delve into all forms of physical excellence. Sure, there are some exceptions from time to time, but Chase Elliott is not one of them.

Chase Elliott happens to be big on college football and that came to him from his father, Bill. The father-son duo supports the Georgia Bulldogs. Being a Georgia native, the fandom for the Bulldogs comes from his childhood, and that is not something he will forget soon. So when Chase Elliott expressed that he is a Bulldogs fan on ‘The Teardown’, former NFL star Pat McAfee commented.

It all started on Dirty Media Mo’s The Teardown podcast, where Chase Elliott was called to discuss NASCAR with other American sports. One thing led to another, and the host, Jordan Bianchi, sparked a conversation about college football, which happens to be his favorite sport. It all started when Bianchi stated, “Bulldogs looked good last week.”

A happy-looking Elliott agreed that his favorite team was in a good place. He explained, “I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember. I grew up going to games and stuff. I love watching them.” Elliott continued to speak about the team, saying, “For sure, they were always really solid. They’ve never been a bad program or ‘progrum’ as McAfee says.”

Elliott then explained that he likes the team because they do not replace coaches every time they have a terrible year. While this conversation continued and moved away from college football, NFL star Pat McAfee noticed Elliott referencing his pronunciation of the word “program.”

This led Pat McAfee to post on X, stating, “Chase Elliott knows ball.” Chase Elliott soon saw McAfee’s post. He responded by continuing the thread, saying, “#GoDawgs Let me know when you want to talk ball.”
