Recently, NASCAR fans were pitched a rather interesting question: Between Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, Team Penske, and Stewart-Haas Racing, which would they let go of? All four teams have been very successful in the past and are arguably the best teams at present. However, a fair number of fans felt that Stewart-Haas, in particular, seems to be on a decline. As a result, they all believed that the outfit would have to go and won’t be missed.

According to them, the organization has not been as competitive as it used to be in the past. In fact, many have observed that only Kevin Harvick has been trying his hardest out of the four SHR drivers. Meanwhile, the likes of Chase Briscoe, Aric Almirola, and Ryan Preece have been doling out mediocre performances. Even Preece’s predecessor, Cole Custer, was fairly underwhelming during his stint in the #41 car.

Is Stewart-Haas Racing really the worst of the fab-four?

According to some, as much as they are not big fans of the likes of Hendrick Motorsports, they can’t deny that HMS, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Team Penske are the best of the Chevrolets, Toyotas, and Fords, respectively. Penske and SHR are both powered by Ford, but the former has been in excellent form. Especially considering that Team Penske’s Joey Logano is the defending Cup Series champion.

A lot of people have seen that Kevin Harvick is the only one flying the flag for Stewart-Haas. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a Fountain of Youth, and immortality does not exist. Otherwise, SHR could have found some way to prolong Harvick’s career, instead of him retiring at the end of the current campaign. Some are also of the opinion that the team is also surviving because of Tony Stewart’s name.

Some fans feared that SHR could end up like yesteryear teams, such as Front Row Motorsports and Roush Fenway. Once upon a time, those teams used to be considered among the top brass. Unfortunately, they have since faded away into the midfield, and Stewart-Haas Racing is in danger of this as well.
