During the Xfinity Series race at Charlotte, FOX Sports once again found itself in the middle of the recurring criticism for poor broadcasting. The only difference this time was, that instead of just the fans calling them out, it was the broadcasters themselves, including Kevin Harvick.
While there was quite an interesting battle going on for the lead between the #7 and the #8, the broadcast switched to #9 and #44, leading those in the box to sarcastically point towards the real battle that should be shown.
In fact, Harvick can be heard yelling from the background, “You gotta show the #7!”

You can just hear the disappointment of the guys in the booth at the ineptitude of the Fox production team. Harvick yelling at them in the background just makes the clip. #nascar #AlscoUniforms300 pic.twitter.com/96jOefSxYL

One can make a case about the quality of the broadcasting being incredibly underwhelming to anyone, and just as easily win that case.
So as you’d expect, NASCAR fans had a field day in criticizing FOX Sports for their coverage, which, let’s be honest, is quite a recurring thing and for all the good reason.
I wish Joey would have called the producers out once they finally switched. "This what we were seeing out the window, you guys couldn't because fox didn't want to change cameras."

Kevin Harvick insists NASCAR races need to be shorter
As the Coca Cola 600 is around the corner, it’s worth mentioning how Kevin Harvick had recently spoken about the length of the NASCAR races in general, and how they need to be shorter.
“The thing that people have to realize, there’s going to be a lot more cautions,” he said of the longer races. “From a driver’s standpoint, I don’t think any of us want to race 500 mile races anyway.”

However, Harvick then went on to add the exception in his suggestions to shorten the race lengths as well as the one that is “debatable.” “I think the Daytona 500, obviously needs to be 500 miles but the Coke 600 could be debated,” he said.
