The ‘Pizza Man’ is back with a special offer for his fans. Despite stock car racing facing sponsorship scarcity due to a lack of brands, 21-year-old ARCA Menards Series part-time driver Brayton Laster has found a way to feature a lucky fan on his Daytona ride. Laster confirmed a ride with Terry Carroll Motorsports at the Daytona International Speedway two weeks ago.

In recent news, the driver allowed the fans to have their face on his TC Motorsports #95 car. Opening up space for four small decal features, Brayton Laster confirmed the news on Reddit, where he is an active part of the community. The announcement on Reddit said that the chance will be up for grabs for only a week and a lucky user will be drawn out randomly. Quite a plan to give back to the NASCAR community!

The youngster has regularly been in the ARCA Menards season opener for the past few years. Laster drove the Mullins Racing No.03 car in the last two seasons at the Daytona event. In these two appearances, he impressed with a best finish of P13 in 2022. With the 2023 ARCA season proving fruitful with three consecutive top-10s for the 21-year-old, TC Motorsports felt he would be the right driver to boss the #95 car at Daytona.

While originally it was decided that Brayton Laster would compete in the #91, a slight modification means he will race in the #95 car. An announcement in the Subreddit r/NASCAR stated,

We have 4 small decal spots thanks to u/BraytonLaster for his TC Motorsports #91 Toyota Camry for the ARCA Race at Daytona on February 17th. This post will be open for one week and the entries will be randomly drawn, 1 entry per user will be counted. If you win, I’ll DM you and reply to your comment for your image. The image has to be safe for work, not questionable in NASCAR’s eyes, and of course not have any licensing or permission issues attached to it.”

As for Laster’s Daytona stint, the driver, after announcing about joining Terry Carroll and his team at Daytona, also revealed that the deal could extend to several races in the ARCA Menards and NASCAR Truck Series. However, in a surprising disclosure, Brayton Laster also tweeted an endorsement for sponsors on his ride. Laster stated that a miniature presence on the decklid would start from $100, and a premiere spot with a specific focus would cost a sponsor only $2,500.

The opportunity to showcase a brand at Daytona in front of an electric crowd is lucrative. Brayton Laster surely knows what he is doing. Returning to the announcement on Reddit, Laster also replied with a welcoming message under the post, “Let’s get some Redditors in victory lane!”

The opportunity is an infrequent occurrence in NASCAR. Laster’s continuous interaction with the Reddit fanbase could be one reason for the same. Being a great contributor to the sport’s subreddit, he just wanted to give something back to his supporters. With Terry Carroll’s backing, he could soon step up to a new role, with NASCAR being a considerable possibility.

The young man who loves pepperoni pizza has been dubbed the moniker rightfully. However, Brayton Laster has also faced the problems an average 21-year-old American could face. Before announcing his Daytona appearance in 2022, the 21-year-old had expressed his wish to race in NASCAR’s national competitions in an AMA session on Reddit.

Preparing a plan to fall back on, Laster also revealed that he had been striving to graduate with a business degree, in case racing didn’t work out for him. Amidst so much happening in his life, one would wonder where pizza took an essential place. Revealing about his love for Papa John’s pepperoni in a conversation with Outside Groove in 2021, Brayton Laster revealed,

“At [the Indianapolis] Speedrome, the concession stand sold only Papa John’’ pizza. I’, go up throughout the race night and get pizza. Early on in my racing career, I got the nickname ‘Pizza Man.’ It almost became my identity.

“Throughout middle school, I had a jacket that looked like pepperoni pizza. I had shoes, pants, and my backpack was a pizza. All my friends and teachers at school called me ‘Pizza Man’. That transferred over to the racing world,” Laster added.

In his early days of racing, he was infamously called the ‘Master of Disasters’ owing to his outstanding involvement in crashes. However, he has grown and matured as a driver since then and is ready to give his all at Daytona in February. Addressing the same in a recent press release, Brayton Laster stated, “Three years ago, I never thought there would be a remote possibility I would even be competing anywhere near this level.
