Chad would be seen driving for DGM driving in the #91 Chevrolet Camaro. This debut is indeed going to be a riveting one for all the Chastain fans. Already owing to the expectations on the junior Chastain, fans were quick to link it with the recent encounter between his brother and Hamlin. The rivalry between the two had already never cooled down and then they recently crashed into each other at the Phoenix race. Both of them were competing for a top 5 finish when the incident occurred. The collision resulted in Denny finishing at 23rd and Chastain at 24th position.

NASCAR fans had mixed reactions to the announcement of Chad’s debut in the Xfinity series. Some believed that the younger Chastain might be a replica of the elder one and will follow the same racing style as his. While others were busy talking about how Dennis would now have to compete with two Chastains and wisecracked about his situation.

One fan even called Chase – CHADSTAIN which looked like a dig at Hamlin. Some also thought that with lack of experience, Chad would have a hard time on the track. Either way, his debut has been a heated topic of discussion among NASCAR followers.

As per motorsport.com, he said, “I’m thrilled to make my NASCAR Xfinity Series debut with DGM Racing, a Florida-based race team, driving a ‘Protect Your Melon’ Chevrolet just like I watched my brother do for years. I have a great platform to raise awareness for safe driving, whether on the track or on the roads in the local community and being able to tie that back to our family business is an honor.”
