Is Brexton Busch the future star NASCAR needs, especially with Denny Hamlin's luck running dry?

The NASCAR fandom is working together once again. Only this time, it’s to help Kyle Busch’s son Brexton get a dog. Yes, you read that right. Rowdy’s son asked for help on his Instagram post, posing with a puppy and requesting a significant amount of likes, which would be the only way for him to convince his parents to get him a new pet. The Busch family already has a dog named Piper, but when it comes to ‘man’s best friend’, the more the merrier, right?

The Busch household could potentially welcome a new member to the family at the same time when Denny Hamlin has jokingly posted about giving away his dog Lulu, to overcome his playoff slump. Perhaps Kyle Busch can have a word with Hamlin and take Lulu off his hands for the remainder of the season. That way, everybody is happy!

Brexton Busch has quite a social media presence. The nine-year-old has over 89,000 followers on Instagram and his profile features snippets from his life as an amateur dirt racing driver. Given his popularity, the aspiring NASCAR driver should be able to achieve his social media goal, but it won’t be an easy task unless his post goes viral. The NASCAR community is already showing its support for the youngster, and as things stand, the post has already crossed over 2000 likes in a bid to help Brexton get himself a new puppy.

Writing on Instagram, Brexton Busch issued a plea to his supporters by saying, “My mom and dad said if I get 18,000 likes I can get this doggie. Help me please.” The caption was accompanied by an adorable picture of Brexton hugging the puppy, who was licking the youngster’s face. As Samantha and Kyle Busch have two children in Brexton Locke and Lennix Key, it’s only fitting that they get two dogs as well, one for each of them.

While the Busch family considers adopting another dog, Denny Hamlin has jokingly offered to give away his pet Lulu temporarily. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver put up a post on Instagram which was captioned, “Lulu’s in search of a good home for the remainder of my championship run”. Speaking about his dog on the Actions Detrimental podcast, the racing veteran told co-host Jared Allen that his crew chief Chris Gabehart was eager to send Lulu away to see if it would help Hamlin overcome his playoff slump.

Before getting his dog, Hamlin was one of the favorites to clinch his first-ever championship, winning three races with an average finish of 12. However, ever since Lulu arrived, the 43-year-old’s luck has taken a turn for the worse, and he has been forced to retire early three times while securing no wins since then. While his Instagram post is meant to be in good humor, Hamlin does run the risk of crashing out of the playoffs unless he secures a good result at Bristol Motor Speedway in the final Round of 16 race of the season.

As expected, the NASCAR community didn’t wait long to show their support towards Brexton Busch. Five years ago, Rowdy’s family took to social media to announce the newest member of their family, their goldendoodle puppy called Piper. Samantha Busch uploaded a picture of the family posing with the adorable dog, with Brexton looking particularly elated at the prospect of having a pet. The family could find themselves in a similar situation this time around, with one fan saying, “Piper needs a dog friend. Everyone needs another dog too. Pretty sure this dog is a sure thing.”

Seeing the puppy lick Brexton’s face, while the nine-year-old was embracing what could be the newest addition to the Busch family, made one fan’s heart melt. Urging Samantha and Kyle Busch to give into the boy’s demands, the fan wrote on Instagram, “The dog clearly chose @brextonbusch already, so you’re walking away with the dog regardless @rowdybusch @samanthabusch it’s a done deal..no way you can say no to that dog!!”. On a similar note, another fan urged the aspiring driver’s parents to recognize Brexton Busch’s effort, going on to say, “Come on Mom and Dad, he has worked hard.”

Despite having a significant social media presence, the youngster appears to be far from his goal of social media likes, which would convince his parents to get him the puppy. Recognizing the uphill task, one fan wrote, “I wish I could like it 18,000 times!!♥️”. Echoing that sentiment, another fan went on to comment, “My like is worth about 17000 so I think it’s over Brex”. Whether Samantha and Kyle Busch let Brexton adopt another puppy remains to be seen, but the NASCAR community is firmly in support of the youngster’s pursuit to get another member into the family.
