Kyle Busch’s son Brexton has quite a presence on social media. The nine-year-old has over 89,000 followers on Instagram and his profile features snippets from his life as an amateur dirt racing driver. Now, the aspiring NASCAR driver is aiming to use this fan following to achieve a target that his parents have set for him. No, it has nothing to do with racing.
Brexton is trying to make a new addition to the Busch household and as things stand, his online family is going to be a vital part in that. On the other hand, Denny Hamlin is trying to shove off a portion of his family for which he also turned up on his social media asking for help. And both have a surprising similarity in their asks.
Brexton just posted a snap on his Instagram that features him embracing an adorable dog. No, that is not Piper, the four-leg companion who is already a part of the Busch family. It is another one. And Brexton wants that, desperately. So much so that he asked for help from his community. And that is nothing but a like on his post!

As Brexton mentioned in his post, “My mom and dad said if I get 18,000 likes I can get this doggie. Help me please.” Well, we can vouch for that, considering Samantha and Kyle Busch have two children in Brexton Locke and Lennix Key. It’s only fitting that they get two dogs as well, one for each of them. Denny Hamlin is standing exactly on the opposite pole.
Denny has offered to give away his pet Lulu temporarily. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver put up a post on Instagram which was captioned, “Lulu’s in search of a good home for the remainder of my championship run”. What happened exactly?
Speaking about his dog on the Actions Detrimental podcast, the racing veteran told co-host Jared Allen that his crew chief Chris Gabehart was eager to send Lulu away to see if it would help Hamlin overcome his playoff slump. That is not just an assumption, Denny also posted a summary of his stats before and after getting the dog.

Is Brexton Busch the future star NASCAR needs, especially with Denny Hamlin's luck running dry?
Have an interesting take?
Before getting his dog in June, Denny was a favorite to clinch his first-ever championship, winning three races with an average finish of 12. However, ever since Lulu arrived, the 43-year-old’s luck has taken a turn for the worse, and he has been forced to retire early three times while securing no wins since then. While his Instagram post is meant to be in good humor, Hamlin does run the risk of crashing out of the playoffs unless he secures a good result at Bristol Motor Speedway in the final Round of 16 race of the season.
Denny got the puppy in early June after finding it on the riverside. Denny’s daughter Taylor had told the story of how the family adopted the dog. She said that were at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis and they were watching a movie. Hamlin decided to go home while the rest of the family stayed.
As they were taking a picture, a park ranger walked by with the puppy. The ranger said the puppy had been left out and asked the family if they could keep her. Denny was not sure if Lulu would be a permanent member of the family, but eventually ended up keeping it with them. However, we can not say that he was much happy to do that.
“This is short-term happiness and a long-term pain in the a**,” Denny had said back then. When it comes to his kids taking care of the dog, he was much hopeful. “They’re not going to do it. They don’t ever pick up after themselves. They are not going to take care of this dog,” he had said. So he had also put up a post on his Instagram along with a picture of the puppy while writing, “Found by the river. If this is your dog DM me with a pic of this pup and we will get it returned.” This time Denny seems to be more desperate! Amid that, the NASCAR fandom has all the support for Brexton.

NASCAR fans express their support towards Brexton Busch
As expected, the NASCAR community didn’t wait long to show their support towards Brexton Busch. Five years ago, Rowdy’s family took to social media to announce the newest member of their family, their goldendoodle puppy called Piper. Samantha Busch uploaded a picture of the family posing with the adorable dog, with Brexton looking particularly elated at the prospect of having a pet. The family could find themselves in a similar situation this time around, with one fan saying, “Piper needs a dog friend. Everyone needs another dog too. Pretty sure this dog is a sure thing.”
Seeing the puppy lick Brexton’s face, while the nine-year-old was embracing what could be the newest addition to the Busch family, made one fan’s heart melt. Urging Samantha and Kyle Busch to give into the boy’s demands, the fan wrote on Instagram, “The dog clearly chose @brextonbusch already, so you’re walking away with the dog regardless @rowdybusch @samanthabusch it’s a done deal..no way you can say no to that dog!!”. On a similar note, another fan urged the aspiring driver’s parents to recognize Brexton Busch’s effort, going on to say, “Come on Mom and Dad, he has worked hard.”

While we don’t know if the Busch couple will give in to the ask, Kyle Busch is known to be a dog lover. Back in June 2021, he collaborated with the Pedigree Foundation on an innovative pet adoption plan. Seven adorable dogs who were up for adoption were featured on Kyle Busch’s Toyota Camry at a Nashville Superspeedway race. Eventually, Busch went on to win the race which was also his 100th Xfinity Series victory. Seems like a good luck charm! Considering that Rowdy might consider adding one more to his family, especially after the disastrous run this year. Fans also look to have considered that.
Recognizing the uphill task, one fan wrote, “I wish I could like it 18,000 times!!♥️”. Echoing that sentiment, another fan went on to comment, “My like is worth about 17000 so I think it’s over Brex”. Whether Samantha and Kyle Busch let Brexton adopt another puppy remains to be seen, but the NASCAR community is firmly in support of the youngster’s pursuit to get another member into the family.
