The NASCAR Truck Series has built a reputation for itself for being rough and chaotic in recent times. It’s like young drivers in the series have outright accepted a carefree style of racing that often leads to wrecks, which further spoils the race for other drivers. During the Truck Series race at Martinsville, Timmy Hill was subjected to similar treatment but was surprised it came from someone like Stewart Friesen.

Hill had a good shot at finishing inside the top ten, but Friesen’s late antics resulted in him finishing P20. Frustrated with the constant tussle and bumping during the race, Hill decided to confront Friesen after the race on the pit road.

It was the case of both experienced drivers falling prey to unsavory tactics put in play by the young drivers. Friesen himself was frustrated with the nature of racing on display at the racetrack. So coming into the final lap, he decided to return the favor. It was Hill Motorsports’ truck that was on the receiving end of Friesen’s frustration. This naturally led to tempers flaring high between the two drivers after the finish.

“I get f*****g wasted every f*****g week. You got wasted by everybody else except f*****g me. I didn’t waste you, these f*****g kids did, you’re better than that,” Timmy Hill said to Friesen.

Admitting his mistake and his wrongdoings, the veteran driver replied, “You’re absolutely right.”

In a concluding statement, Hill stated, “You’re supposed to be better than that. Out of these f*****g kids, you’re supposed to be better.”

In all fairness, Timmy Hill’s moment of rage was justified, as he and his brother own and operate Hill Motorsports. So in a scenario, if their No. 56 truck does end up getting wrecked, they are the ones paying for the damages. Lack of respect and skill has been a plaguing issue for NASCAR to deal with, but to see veteran drivers resort to a similar trend is indeed a worrying sign for the series.

Reacting to the fiery exchange between the two drivers, the fans were quick to share their opinions on the issue on Reddit.

With wrecks and bumping being a recurring theme in Truck Series, Friesen has been on the receiving end a few times. However, his actions were not justified when he pulled a similar trick on Timmy Hill. And the same was pointed out by a fan. “I get wasted every f*****g week”. I love that Timmy immediately shut him down with “Not by me!”

Defending Friesen, a fan replied, “I do feel a little for Friesen because dude does get wrecked often, but he let his frustration get the best of him tn”.

Another fan agreed with Hill’s sentiments about not expecting an experienced driver to follow suit into wrecking during the races. “I like how Timmy said what we all thought, Stewart needs to stop acting like the dumb kids in this series”.

Meanwhile, a user was very appreciative of the conduct of both drivers, who shared their frustration without making the ordeal physical. “That was clean. No physical confrontation. No crew members getting involved. Just 2 drivers having a heated discussion. Kudos”.

Another Stewart Friesen fan sharing his contracting opinion wrote, “I’m a Stewy fan, and I think he’s getting frustrated because of how many of the “squirrels” have no respect for racing cleanly in the Trucks”.
