Various NASCAR Cup Series drivers were recently asked whether they preferred to have pineapple as toppings on their pizzas. The drivers gave a mixed bunch of answers, but one, Bubba Wallace turned out to be surprisingly a fan of the controversial pizza topping.

Drivers such as Bubba Wallace, Austin Dillon, Tyler Reddick, and a few others accepted that the weird-looking fruit did belong on a pizza as a choice of topping. However, not everyone seemed to agree with the idea. Drivers such as the now infamous Ross Chastain, Cole Custer, and a few others were totally disgusted by the idea, they instead recommended having toppings such as cheese and pepperoni.

The best answer came from Brad Keselowski when he said, “if it’s you’re pizza put whatever the hell you want to put on your pizza. My pizza I’m not putting pineapple on it.”
Fans react to drivers talking about pineapple on pizza
Fans were completely divided on this one, some going as far as stating that they would not watch NASCAR because their favorite drivers liked pineapples on their pizza.

Fans commented, “I am with Brad eat whatever the hell you like on a pizza. I like pineapple on my pizza.”
“If you wanna listen to anyone, listen to Ross…. either way your gonna go in the wall.”

“I was waiting for Ross to say he likes watermelon on his pizza.”
“I’m going to stop watching NASCAR because drivers do not like pineapple on their pizza.”
“Being from Chicago pineapple does not belong on pizza. If that’s what you want fine but don’t classify it as pizza.”
