It is now official that the Circuit of the Americas will make its debut on the 2021 NASCAR calendar. In light of this, many people are excited to visit the track. When the news broke on social media, a number of teams reacted with largely positive responses.
The Chip Ganassi Racing team wrote on Instagram, “IM ALREADY HEARING VOICES”. Meanwhile, Ryan Truex said, “Things you love to see”. Even the likes of Matt Tifft, Spire Motorsport, Stewart-Haas Racing, and others have expressed their excitement.

The COTA racetrack is one of many road courses that will feature on the 2021 NASCAR calendar. The sport is slowly breaking away from oval tracks and transitioning to road courses.
The 2021 season is already set to feature the Indianapolis road course, Road America, Michigan road course, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and Watkins Glen International.

The 2021 NASCAR season is still a while away
The NASCAR paddock does not want to get ahead of itself, as the drivers are concentrating on the 2020 campaign. This weekend, the fraternity is set to make landfall at Talladega for the next playoff race.
As per the NASCAR qualifying formula, Denny Hamlin will lead the pack. He starts ahead of Las Vegas race winner, Kurt Busch, Martin Truex Jr, and Alex Bowman, with Kevin Harvick starting 5th.

Alongside the championship leader is defending champion, Kyle Busch, who is eager to grab a win in 2020. The #18 car was in an excellent position a week earlier, when he qualified in second place.
Unfortunately, he could not capitalize and dropped to 6th place, thanks to another run-in with Joey Logano. For the past few races, Busch Jr and Logano have been stuck together like glue, to the former’s detriment.

Obviously, Kyle has been furious with the #22 Penske driver, with the latter retaliating. Hopefully, on this occasion, the two of them ensure that they stay out of each other’s way.
Coming back to the 2021 season, all the drivers will be excited to race on the road courses, especially at COTA. This is because the Circuit of the Americas is new territory for everyone.
