Following the entire tirade surrounding the safety issues of the Next-Gen cars in the NASCAR Cup Series, one particular Cup Series driver was quick to shut down the conversation that followed suit after instances with drivers, such as Kurt Busch and Alex Bowman regarding the impact injuries sustained in this specific car.

Ware stated, “It was definitely a very tough period there. What everyone else is dealing with is the rigidity of the rear end of these cars and how that’s affecting concussions and head impacts. My wreck would have been egregious whether it was a Gen 6 car or Gen 5 car or a sports car. You hit a wall head-on like that, you’re going to have problems.”
“We’re not sure, but it’s not really the Next Gen car’s fault. It’s just a matter of different pedals and different cockpits and not necessarily a failure or a fault of the Next Gen.”
What happened to Cody Ware after his crash?

Cody Ware had a horrible crash at Texas earlier this season, after which he was not allowed to race for a significant period of time.
Ware’s car suddenly veered to the right mid-corner, where he hit the outside wall hard. After that, his car continued to plummet down the track and onto the pit road, where it hit the wall at the pit road and came to a halt.

The AMR safety crew was seen rushing to the site as Ware somehow emerged out of his car. Ware soon appeared to fall down and was assisted by the medical crew and other pit crew members. Finally, he had to be taken to the infield care centre on a stretcher. Subsequently, Ware was not cleared to race and was asked to rest till his health improved.
