NASCAR has revealed a ‘top secret’ footage from last week’s Pro Invitation Series Race. The virtual race at Talladega saw veteran driver Jeff Gordon’s car taking a flight after getting involved in an on-track incident.
The tweet features a video of Jeff Gordon’s on-track incident combined with a recent viral video of ‘UFO sitings’. The Tweet says, “NASCAR has chosen to declassify footage from Talladega Motor Speedway”
The video shows Gordon’s car flying out of the track and into earth’s orbit where a military plane is recording its movement. The tweet garnered a bunch of appreciation for the NASCAR twitter handle. Many famous NASCAR journalists and team handles took a moment to express their amusement on Twitter. Additionally, The video has more than 80k views till now.

Former Cup Series champion, Jeff Gordon had an unimpressive esports debut. He managed to finish second last after Danny Hamlin accidentally went offline, ending his race at the last spot. During the race, He got into a huge pile up which literally made his car fly in the air. Despite his underwhelming performance the race garnered unprecedented viewership on national television. The race stood second on the US TV Esports viewership chart of the month.

Last week, Gordon had his debut in the number 24 Hendricks Motors car with an old school Pepsi paint scheme. We can now include the four-time Cup Series champion, Jeff Gordon, to the rundown of drivers who no one expected to contend this year yet is set to do as such, on account of the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series. The iRacing Pro Invitation Series has seen a lot of former champion drivers making a comeback. The list includes former top guns like Dale Jr and Bobby Labonte.
