The NASCAR drivers can’t seem to catch a break. First, they had to skillfully ride the fence at Homestead, followed by enduring all the shoving and bumping at NASCAR’s shortest short track. Now that Martinsville is wrapped up, NASCAR is headed to the track, ‘too tough to tame.’ Yup, NASCAR Cup Series’s eighth race is at Darlington Raceway, and folks, it’s going to be a thriller. Remember the last time the Cup Series came to the track? Kyle Busch almost got a playoff berth.
Folks, Darlington played the regular season finale last year, and it became a thrilling battle between Chase Briscoe and Busch in the end. However, Briscoe brought his A game defending against Rowdy. And that’s how Darlington races are. Unpredictable. Who knows, we might see a surprise winner. Austin Hill is coming for a one-off in the Cup race. He’s been on a roll this season. Or maybe Kyle Busch could finish what he couldn’t last time. Now that would be something to watch!

This could be the time for teams to step up their game and pull a win. Maybe Team Penske can bag their first one. After all, Joey Logano has one of the best average finishes at Darlington in the next-gen car. Logano has a 10.7 average finish behind William Byron with 10.3. The #22 driver has won the race once and twice and finished in the top 5 in six races. But the race won’t be easy, not for Logano and not for anyone else.
If drivers manage to not get the infamous ‘Darlington Stripe,’ Denny Hamlin will be waiting to bag another win. The #11 happens to be the winningest active driver of the track (4 wins). And he coming with winning momentum from the Martinsville race. And while watching all these storylines unfold from behind your TV would be epic, we have given you the schedule. But imagine being in the grandstands, watching your favorite driver tame the track, too tough to tame. And you are in luck, the tickets are still available. You can book them here: ‘am.ticketmaster.com’ Folks, they have special offers for early birds, students, veterans. So we’d suggest you hurry up. And if you do end up going, carry your rain wear.
