It really is a sad time for the world, as we just lost Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. But as we speak about the royal family, there is someone in our very own world of NASCAR who copied their move and did something while imitating the members of the royal family.

He even joked about the matter.

Joe Gibbs Racing owns the #19 car, which is well known, and Martin Truex Jr. is the one steering it. But up until 2020, the crew chief for the #19 team was Cole Pearn. The same crew chief that helped the driver win his first Cup Series Championship in 2017. However, everything changed when he announced his retirement during the 2019 season to move to Canada.

It sure was unfortunate, after having spent that much time with Joe Gibbs. The former crew chief also admitted it was a very difficult decision, but his reasons are justified as he explained, “This was an incredibly difficult decision,” Pearn said in a statement.

“At the end of the day, I really want to spend time with my family and actually see my kids grow up.”

But the funny part is that he copied two members of the Royal Family, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle, as they had also moved to Canada. Of course, Pern saw this as the golden opportunity to crack a joke about him moving back to his home.

This is pretty hilarious. The former crew chief sure has good humor.

But what has he been up to ever since he quit his crew chief duties?

What is Cole Pearn up to now after he quit his duties at NASCAR?

Cole Pearn is surely irreplaceable for Joe Gibbs Racing. Of course, he got the #19 team a championship! But all good things come to an end. So, what has he been up to since then? Well, let’s just say he’s still a crew chief of sorts, but he isn’t managing cars anymore.

He returned to his home in Canada. And now he and his wife, Carrie, invested money in a beautiful Ski Resort, Golden Alpine Holidays, in British Columbia, Canada.

Funny enough, he moved to British Columbia, which is a place colonized and even named by the British Royal Family, under the reign of Queen Elizabeth back in 1858. Pern’s funny joke makes even more sense now. But he is still a crew chief, but now his crew is the Hotel staff, and a race car has turned into an entire resort.
