NASCAR’s proud street course in downtown Chicago witnessed nature’s fury on Sunday, delaying the Cup Series race by 90 minutes and forcing the authorities to drop the Xfinity Series after a thunderous lightning strike hit near the venue. Amid all this, another competitive event at Coney Island, New York, looked like it was going the same road after a 2-hour wait until it resumed.

Joey Chestnut, Nathan’s Hot dog eating champion, once again munched his way into victory for the 16th time, after he gobbled down 62 hot dogs in 10 minutes. The Independence Day event brought many enthusiasts down to the island to watch competitive eaters munch down as many hot dogs as they could in under 10 minutes.

Soon, NASCAR’s senior journalist and enthusiast, Bob Pockrass found a hilarious clip from Sunday’s Chicago street race, turning Kyle Busch‘s misery into a joke, while referencing Chestnut on his way to the restroom.

Bob Pockrass Takes Up Kyle Busch’s Rough Slide to Hilariously Mock Joey Chestnut

Following NASCAR’s inaugural street race in Chicago, the racing community witnessed the perks of racing on the narrow rain-drenched lanes of the city as Busch himself found it out the hard way after his #8 Chevy lost control coming into the turn, slamming into the barrier and getting stuck under the tires.

While Busch’s on-track incident highlighted NASCAR’s exceptional safety precautions and the driver’s will to soldier on, Pockrass’s tweet on the 4th of July citing Busch’s in-car conversation really got the community laughing.

Retweeting to Nascarcasm’s hilarious tweet, mentioning Chestnut on his way to the restroom with the person inside exclaiming, “You’re an a**hole, I hate you.” Well, the reporter, on the other hand, had a better idea. He then responded with the clip of Busch slamming into the barrier, asking for help to get out of the barrier, “After that, I should be good,” after the on-track reporter relayed the message from Busch, leaving online fans laughing on the floor, hearing the message and picturing Chestnut in a tussle just hours after he munched down 62 hot dogs.
