After NASCAR drivers finish the grueling 4-hour long Cup Series races, in 120-degree cockpits, they all head over to Victory Lane to unwind, celebrating the race finish and the winners of the race, drinking some beer. And, until 2017, we got to see the Victory Lane celebrations and the interviews with the drivers and winners.
However, after 2017, the Victory Lane show was discontinued, and that led to fans getting no more Victory Lane interviews too.

Fans Want NASCAR To Bring Back The Victory Lane Interviews
It comes as no surprise that the fans want them back.

And, the fan sure does have a point. However, the Lap-by-Lap voice of NASCAR, Mike Joy seems to have a different point as he responded by saying, “TV and Nascar agreed on interviewing the winner at start/finish, capturing immediate raw emotion and sharing it with fans closeby. It also eliminates a sometimes long and uncomfortable pause getting the winning car to victory lane. We often show shots from the VL celebration.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Seems to Want The Victory Lane to Return
If there is one person who has an influence on NASCAR and the fans, that has to be Dale Earnhardt Jr.
And, it seems Dale Jr. is sided with the fans here.
