What Unforgettable Moment Involving Denny Hamlin Left Racing Fans Breathless at Sonoma?

After securing a pole position on Saturday, Denny Hamlin’s hopes were dashed by an unfortunate crash during lap 95. As he approached turn 11, Hamlin lost control of his car, causing it to collide with the outside wall. The car spun and crashed, resulting in damage to the back of his #11 Toyota and a subsequent DNF. It was a mistake for which Hamlin could only blame himself.

Taking to Frontstretch, Hamlin shared his perspective, saying, “I was really close behind the #24, and I couldn’t really see where I was going. I went to turn left to try to peek underneath him, and the wall was there”

During his podcast, Actions Detrimental, Hamlin admitted, “I misjudged it. Like It was just it was such a small hit, I thought I had something break when I hit the wall because it just shot me dead right and hit the fence. I start to shed left because what I’m about to do, because I do have a run, it that as soon as we get past that little bend in the wall, I’m shooting to the left. Then put him the outside going up the hill and so..”

All of this led to Chase Elliott’s fans to speak their mind in the comment sections of the post.
