The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season is well underway and rapidly approaching the Playoff stage. However, there will be a few eyes turning towards the 2022 season. This is largely because the Next Gen cars will make their grandiose debut as fully-fledged race cars.
Admittedly, there is a small problem because NASCAR has yet to release the 2022 Cup Series schedule. According to some sources, it could take around four to six weeks before the full schedule drops. Some even suggest that NASCAR officials could reveal the schedule by late August.
Of course, we are still in the middle of the 2021 season and four races away from the Playoffs. If the predictions are correct, then the 2022 calendar could see the light of day before the first Playoff race.

In 2022, the fruits of their labor could potentially pay off in the long run. However, the sport and the drivers do have to see out the remainder of the 2021 season first.
The officials know that this will be the final season under the old regulations and they will want to go out on a high note. Until then, the NASCAR Cup Series drivers will be competing fiercely for the 2021 Cup Series championship.
