It has been ages since the former Indy Japan 800 winner, Danica Patrick, hung her firesuit. However, that does not assert the fact that the former NASCAR driver has lost touch with the racing world. Instead of a steering wheel, Patrick’s hands now adorn the microphone of Sky Sports, a broadcaster for Formula 1. Amidst her busy schedule as a broadcaster, she is an active social media user, and she employs her thoughts freely.

As a result, in a recent Instagram post, it seems that the former driver has been fascinated by an animal lover and his dedication to animals. Moreover, it seems that the post has struck a chord with Patrick.

Apart from basking in the spotlight of racing and stating her thoughts freely and in a straightforward manner, Patrick has been an avid animal lover and an advocate for animals and their safety. She is a proud mother of two fur babies, a Belgian Malinois named Ella and Dallas, a Siberian Husky, and is a constant companion of Patrick on her Instagram posts. Recently, Danica Patrick reshared a post on a popular zoophilist and captioned it “My Hero.

It looks like Danica Patrick has found the ‘idol’ of her life after she re-shared a post by Pubity on her Instagram Story. The post by Pubity that was marked by a carousel of images had pictures of Steve Greg, who is a popular zoophilist and has around 1 million followers on Instagram. It read, “After his beloved dog passed away, Steve Greig sought solace by adopting the “least adoptable” senior dog from a local shelter in Denver, Colorado. Now, Greig is a devoted dad to ten elder dog rescues, sharing their adorable moments on his Instagram with 478k followers.

“Each day starts at 5 a.m., with varied breakfasts for the dogs, followed by walks, vet appointments, and plenty of love. Greig appreciates the wisdom and fulfillment that comes with caring for older dogs, stating, “It makes my days worthwhile. In addition to the dogs, he has a pig named Bikini, ducks, pigeons, cats, and chickens. Despite having no room for more pets currently, Greig plans to adopt more senior dogs in the future because, as he believes, love knows no age.”

As the post gained likes on her Instagram profile, many of her followers bashed Patrick for her political ideology. This compelled the driver to clear out the controversy by stating her stance. She wrote, “Y’all are losing your d*mn minds over my turning point post…”

“Here is where I stand with SOME current issues and politics. I am not a liberal. I am somewhere between republican and independent. I think our country should be run by someone that knows business and has integrity. I believe we should be able to speak freely[…]”
